Join us for a special evening at the exhibition real time by all on the 27th of June. MEME and Eva Isleifs invite Alex Romania and Macklin Kowal to stage a performance for the occasion. Romania and Kowal propose a series of actions (some planned, others improvised) in response to Isleif’s installation and the themes of urbanism and sustenance that it evokes.
Alex Romania is a dance and performance artist based in New York City, where is currently an artist-in-residence at Movement Research. At present he is touring his performance work through Europe. Macklin Kowal is an academic, artist, and curator. Among other things, he is Founding Director of Athens’s Sub Rosa Space.
