This collaboration is now in its fifth year! Neoclassical Grounds is a much-loved event of Communitism and Arcana, that are always looking forward to it.
Through the newly constituted Alt-grounds team on the new formation of Arcana, we want to reintroduce ourselves in this event!
The group Alt-grounds consisted of the musician couple Reign of Time and the community of artists who got together around their music. Today it has been renamed to Arcana and includes the community of Dozen minds, as well as a network of creative people in constant search for alternative ways of expression.
Communitism revives abandoned heritage buildings of Athens through creative commoning. By implementing artistic and community practices, alternatives to existing structures start to emerge.
The structure of Neoclassical Grounds is an ideal field of expression for both communities : The decision to take the form of a Sunday electronic party created the right environment to experiment with new combinations of arts and their audiences. Young musicians from Athens playing together with international musicians, participatory installations and performances, parallel activities such as fanzine, fan, bodypainting and massage workshops compose a different entertainment experience. And of course, food and drink from some of the best ventures in the city to cover our basic needs!
Neoclassical Grounds is always an introduction to the reality of a creative community and it is always very beautiful to find that all individuals are very kind when one welcomes them warmly and invites them to co-shape a collective condition.

Αυτή η συνεργασία είναι πια στον πεμπτο της χρόνο! Το Neoclassical Grounds είναι ένας πολύ αγαπημένος θεσμός του Communitism και της Arcana, που πάντα ανυπομονούν για τη διοργάνωση.
Με την ευκαιρία της ανασύστασης της ομάδας των Alt-Grounds στο νέο σχηματισμό της Arcana, θέλουμε μέσα από αυτό event να σας ξανασυστηθούμε!
Η ομάδα Alt-grounds αποτελούνταν από το ζευγάρι μουσικών Reign of Time και την κοινότητα καλλιτεχνών που συσπείρωναν γύρω από την μουσική τους. Σήμερα έχει μετονομαστεί σε Arcana και περιλαμβάνει την κοινότητα των Dozen minds, καθώς και ένα δίκτυο δημιουργικών ανθρώπων σε διαρκή αναζήτηση εναλλακτικών μορφών έκφρασης.
Το Communitism αναβιώνει εγκαταλελειμμένα διατηρητέα των Αθηνών μέσω δημιουργικού commoning. Εφαρμόζοντας καλλιτεχνικές και κοινοτικές πρακτικές αναδύονται εναλλακτικές στις υπάρχουσες δομές .
Η δομή του Neoclassical Grounds, είναι ένα ιδανικό πεδίο έκφρασης και για τις δύο κοινότητες: Η απόφαση να έχει τη μορφή ενός Κυριακάτικου ηλεκτρονικού πάρτυ, δημιούργησε το κατάλληλο περιβάλλον για να πειραματιστούμε με νέους συνδιασμούς τεχνών και των κοινών τους. Νέοι μουσικοί από την Αθήνα, παίζουν μαζί με διεθνείς μουσικούς, συμμετοχικά installations και performances, παράλληλες δραστηριότητες όπως εργαστήρια φανζιν, βεντάλιας ή bodypainting και μασάζ, συνθέτουν μια διαφορετική ψυχαγωγική εμπειρία. Και φυσικά, φαγητό και ποτό από κάποια από τα καλύτερα εγχειρήματα της πόλης, για να καλύπτουμε και τις βασικές μας ανάγκες!
To Neoclassical Grounds είναι πάντα ένα καλωσορίσμα στην πραγματικότητα μιας δημιουργικής κοινότητας και είναι πολύ όμορφη η διαπίστωση πως όλα τα άτομα είναι πολύ ευγενικά, όταν κανείς τα καλωσορίσει ζεστά και τα προσκαλεί να συνδιαμορφώσουν μια συλλογική συνθήκη.
Οι καρδιές ανοίγουν όταν η δημιουργικότητα ρέει μέσα σε έναν ασφαλή χώρο.
